To Brett the Guinea Pig is a representation of himself, as his treatment was a ‘test’ as the first of its kind in Australia.

Initially, sponsorships will provide the capital that will be the major source of donations for the business. However, once the kombi is at capacity with regards to sponsors, there needs to be a way to continue generating income – which will be through the sale of merchandise.

The Tokyo Guinea Pig soft toy will be the first product to be sold from the kombi and online from the company’s e-commerce website.

The Guinea Pig is the company’s mascot with its own story that has blogging potential:

To cancer sufferers the Guinea Pig may also reflect their own treatment regime – but it will also provide a level of comfort that one can come out the other side (like Brett did).

To sponsors the Guinea Pig is another medium to promote their business as being part of the Tokyo Guinea Pig humanitarian initiative.

To the general public the Guinea Pig provides a way to give back – to donate in the support of people affected by cancer.

The Guinea Pig represents a BEACON OF HOPE, and as an image, it will be etched onto every piece of merchandise created – which can include drink bottles, t-shirts, hats, phone covers etc.

Brett lives in Tootgarook which is a suburb of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula in Boonwurrung Country, located approximately eighty kilometres from Melbourne’s central business district, in Victoria, Australia.

With Tootgarook as the epicentre, he will drive the kombi throughout Melbourne and the coastline of Victoria (Sapphire Coast and Mornington Peninsula).

Sponsorships will be available to all business that wish to become a part of Tokyo Guinea Pig’s humanitarian cause – while at the same time enjoying significant market visibility for their brand.

Over and above known networks, Brett will partner with companies that are aligned to the cause – with Health Care and Social Assistance being the largest employer in the State.
