THE BRAND
Tokyo Guinea Pig as an identifiable advocate for the fight against cancer – an icon that is instantly recognisable as it travels around the state.
Kombi with A Purpose
Our focus is on donating to foundations that are researching new cancers, rare cancers, children’s cancers, new treatments, protocols and outcomes – ultimately to find a cure for cancer.
Advocating– creating a business that supports cancer patients, their families and the medical profession in enhancing physical and mental outcomes for sufferers.
Supporting local business – creating advertising opportunities for local businesses that are as effective as they are charitable.
The Kombi
The vehicle is a 1973 kombi van, which has been fitted out with an LCD TV, and branded as Tokyo Guinea Pig.
Brett has invested a significant amount of his own money ($55,000) into seeing his dream come to fruition. The result is a kombi that is FUNCTIONAL, FUN and ‘HARD TO MISS’ when on the road.
Brett often drives down the Mornington Peninsula with his family, stopping at popular beachside destinations where there are many requests for photos with the kombi van.
There will be a regular travel timetable created to ensure that the kombi visits all major destinations regularly and to coincide with market days, events and gatherings.
Once a fortnight, Brett will visit the cancer ward of the Royal Price Alfred, St Vincent’s Hospital and Frankston Private (amongst others), where he will visit with patients and/or their families and donate merchandise to the pediatric ward.
